Scholarships and Awards All three of our awards reflect our desire to support, encourage, and celebrate the cause of women in ministry in North Carolina.  Recipients are determined by the BWIMNC Board.*  If you have a nomination, please email us (bwimnc@yahoo.com) and we will discuss your nomination at the next board meeting.   Student Scholarships The generous contributions of Baptist Women in Ministry of North Carolina supporters enable the organization to award four $1000 scholarships annually to female ministerial students enrolled in North Carolina Baptist institutions. Baptist Women in Ministry of North Carolina partners with the Baptist House of Studies at Duke Divinity School, Campbell University Divinity School, the M. Christopher White School of Divinity at Gardner-Webb University, and the Wake Forest University Divinity School to provide financial assistance to worthy women pursuing graduate degrees in theological education. Scholarships are awarded to women who exhibit a clear call and commitment to vocational Christian ministry, academic excellence, demonstrated leadership skills, and expressed support of inclusiveness in all dimensions of life. **Board members are ministers and church members from communities all around North Carolina.  This year's convener, Karen Metcalf, gathers this information for discussion in meetings.
